Survey: Short Barreled 45 ACP Ammo?

Please report back on the type of range and self defense ammo that performs or doesn't work well in your short barreled 45 auto, such as Taurus Millennium Pro with a short 3.27" pipe.

Model number of your pistol, barrel length, and brand / weight of ammo would be helpful as well.

Wolf 230gr ball works fine at the range. 230 gr Hydrashok, Golden Saber, and Gold Dot JHP all seem to feed reliably.

Only disappointment is its not 100% reliable with my cast lead 200gr SWC reloads, otherwise I'd probalby shoot it a lot more.

I don't own a PT145, but I do own a short(ish) barrelled .45- a P220. I currently have it stoked with 185gr.(+P) Cor-Bons, but I've been known to run plenty of 230 gr. through.

SWMBO and I own a pair of PT111's and I'm familiar with your pistol. She wants to perhaps trade-up to a PT145, at which point she'll probably use a 230.

Rabbit.
