I have a T/C Hawken .45 cal that was a kit gun. I am not fond of the trigger guard shape. Are there any other trigger guards that are a drop in fit to the T/C Hawken? Something not quite so fancey.

Some Inverstarms Hawken parts are a direct swap. Not sure about the trigger guard tho.

I think the TC trigger guard is butt ugly and I have considered replacing one with a hawken styled guard from Track I bought years ago but other projects have always been more important at the time. Then I shoot one of them again and I’m reminded that the spur is functional for me at least. I use the set trigger exclusively and I like to be able to snug the butt into my shoulder using the spur while my trigger finger remains relaxed and able to perform only that one vital function of trigger control.

It’s still ugly.

As super super light as the set trigger is I like the extra support .
Right, I think it is designed pretty well for using the set-trigger. Also, for the way I carry a rifle (never use a sling) it is comfortable. But as others have mentioned, one could cut and reshape it. Brass is easy to work with, so any replacement that was a bit larger in dimension could be easily filed to fit. I would try to save it, and find another on Ebay or someplace to modify, in case there are later regrets.

I built one from a kit for my wife many years ago. She doesn't think it is ugly and neither do I. Simpy a little different. Dixie Gun Works might have something that would work for you.

Straw Hat, I like the finger hook part, I just don't like the little circle shape thingy at the end. It is actually a very functional trigger guard, I should probably just accept it. I was just thinking if there was something really easy, I could just drop it in and see if I liked it. I don't want to alter the original part but if I run across a spare one at a rendevous or gun show I might buy it to mess with.

I think you will learn to like it, and it will get prettier at closing time anyway.

Can you post an image? I am not visualizing what you are describing.

OK, so I understand you don't like the style. There is no TC parts and accessories market heck I can't even find the correct ram rod. But. Never say never, right. It's like not wanting the fins on a 57 chevy
