How to discuss an AWB to technology savvy people:

Tablets are one of the most popular selling computers.

Suppose some person used his tablet for child porn.

The government then restricts what a tablet can have.
Only one "evil" feature. Internet, camera, wi-fi internet, video editing, picture editing, 1gig memory, etc.

What do you think will happen?

In the relatively few instances I have run into regarding fence sitters or "antis" I have tried to use analogies that relate to them. Almost every time I have been told "it doesn't count" or "that's not the same". People only want to hear that which reinforces their own beliefs. You won't be able to sway an "anti" any more than they will be able to sway you. The only place where I could see this working is on a "fence sitter". YMMV

To an anti a gun is only made to kill people. Hunting, target shooting, competetion, etc do not exist to them.

Therefore making comparisons simply won't work. They have a one track mind.

The only argument like this that I have found to work had to do with gay marriage, in MN. During the last election, MN had a vote of whether to clarify marriage as between a man and woman or not. So the gays were asked everyone to vote no, because it would be an infringement of their right to the pursuit of happiness. After lots of thinking I decided to vote no. Now that they are all for demolishing the second amendment, I have kindly reminded them that I stood up for rights they exercise, even though I do not, and that now it is their turn to stand up for a right I exercise, even if they choose not to.
