Wanted to see what experience you have had with .308 rounds loaded with TAC powder? Especially 168 grain bullets.

Thanks again.

I have found TAC to be pretty consistent in 308 with up to 155 grain bullets. However, once it gets to the 168- 175 grainers, I prefer RL15, and just haven't experimented with it very much with those bullet weights.

Thanks. No RL-15, Varget or BLC-2 to be had. My choices in powder are...

H335
Benchmark
TAC

Tac & 165gr SST, inside a nickle w/4 shots at 224 meters. they spread to 1'' at 350 yrds. this is my best with a semi-custom .308 Howa 24'' HB.

Howa 1500 Target/Varmint is the rifle that I am loading for.

You'll love it!! Now I don't shoot it much as its boring and that load has been proven. On to other challenges with different cals and load offerings.... you will love that rifle the action is smooth as butter and the HB is a plus have mine customed out and shoot with suppressor and recoil is about the same as a .22. Enjoy.........

I have been shooting it for a while and it is an excellent rifle. I have been averaging .655" groups at 100 with FGM ammo.
