Hey

I was wondering if anyone has any pics of tacti-cool pieces gone horribly wrong. For example, a hi-point carbine with forward pistol grips, an ACOG, a flashlight, laser and bayonet haha.

I think you get my point, the tactical gun that just went too far. While nothing is unneccesary and we gun owners should be able to do whatever we want to our firearms, I think it goes too far sometimes. Im sure you do too.

Ill try to find some pics that I saw before so I can contribute.

Got a few of these. For starters, not really tacticool, just wrong....

From thegunzone, I think.

And I still start laughing everytime I see this one:

Lol, yeah, I noticed that too. Sorta adds nicely to the "gone wrong" effect, huh?

How about those gold MP5's Sadam had??? Those were wrong :cuss:

That chrome AR kinda looked "Battlestar Galactica - ish"

I don't have a picture of it, but I can describe a gun for you. It was used by an ex-ranger armorer pogue who thought he was the god of war. He had an over tricked out M-4. He put a stock pad on the adjustable stock (why the hell he would need a pad for the recoil of an M-4 never made sense to me) then he put a folding bi-pod under the hand guards, he had a laser sight with push button mounted on pistol grips, he also had a reflex sight which double as an 8x scope mounted on top, next he mounted a sure fire on the left front of the guard and a PAC-4 on the right side.

With all that crap it still took him 4 tries to qualify. Was he over compensating a bit? His excuse was that he believed that volume of fire takes presedence over accuracy anyway.

You know... I think my wife might like a gun like that... her birthday is coming up this month.

Does anyone want to pimp my Winchester?.....It needs more chrome....

Does anyone have any pics with bling bling?

The famous AR with a bazillion lights is associated with SureFire and their chief designer/engineer Paul Kim. I don't know who owns it.

I think they thought it funny to put "one of everything" on the rifle.

Then there's the equaly famous "shopped" photo of him holding it, where a brass spotlight, a compass, and a rabbits foot are added.

Last time I went pin shooting at a small club in NJ I saw some pretty silly stuff. Two guys walked in with really high-end competition gear. One of them (let's call him "Fatso") had a tricked out 1911 racegun with all the bells and whistles. The other (let's call him "Slim") had a tricked out Glock 17C. Both were sporting full Safariland IPSC rigs and maybe 7-8 mags each on their Sam Brownes. Both were wearing BDU pants and tactical boots.

Fatso and Slim were comparing notes. Slim was decked out in full Glock regalia: button-down embroidered shirt with black mock turtleneck underneath, baseball cap, Gargoyle sunglasses (we were indoors!). All of his clothes had the Glock insignia embroidered into them. He had the air of a factory competitor...which I assumed he was.

Fatso was making fun of Slim's Glock. He was going on and on about how "fast" his 1911 was. He went on to say that he could do speed reloads faster than anyone else. He practiced speed reloads all day yadda-yadda. He actually said, "no offense, but I can do speed reloads faster than anyone here." Well, OK. No one's arguing. We're just here having a bit of fun on a Tuesday night.

Anyway, when it came time to shoot pins, both of these clowns were clearly in the "spray and pray" camp. Blinding speed. Tons of bullets flying downrange. Strangely, few pins were dropping. Fatso connected maybe 1 out of every 3-4 shots (no joke). I guess you'd BETTER be good at speed reloads when you need 3 mags to knock down 6 pins at 10 yards!

Us "old timers" with our stock Ruger Security Sixes, S&W 686's, and my CZ-97 just took our time and knocked the pins down one by one. Fatso and Slim decided they'd had enough and soon left

bridger that brings up a good point.

I have seen airsoft guns with EOtech sights, lasers, surefire grips w/ the light and mag-pul for the magazines.

the accessories on that airsoft gun must have cost at least 600 dollars...
