Tarted up the HK USC a little and I had hoped to get to the range this weekend to try it out with the new goodies, but everything is still under water. The ProPoint even cowitnesses with the irons (purely by accident), and note the tactical green rubber band used for the laser pressure switch.

So if you see a middle aged, balding, overweight guy beard at American next weekend looking all tactical that's me. Unfortunately I don't actually own any tactical clothes but we can't have everything.

Do you have a tactical Molly vest with ammo pouches? You could pick up boots and cargo pants at a surplus store and complete the picture. Oh, and a sling, you can get one of those on the cheap at a surplus store also.

Looks sexy If your going with a carbine the kel-tec sub 2000 beats it all. 16" barrel you have .357 with a 9mm and it folds no less. Downside you cant add **** to it!

Actually I already have a Sub2000 with the G17 magwell. As much fun as it is, it isn't nearly the gun the HK is. I do carry the subbie around in a standard briefcase though with four 33 round mags, makes me feel safe.

You might want to get a black stretchy elastic band for the foregrip, it's a lot easier on the eyes. ;)

Is the laser a Walther Shot Spot? Looks like an airgun laser to me, but I might be mistaken.

Very nice setup. :)

Sections cut out of bicycle inner tubes make much better keepers for pressure switches than tactical rubber bands, which dry out and get brittle with time, and aren't very durable.

I use 18-23mm tubes on my road bikes, and the sections are a little hard to stretch to fit over my VFG. A tube in the 25-32mm size range should fit much easier. Call your local bike shop and they may be able to fish one out of the trash for you (or you could buy one for ~$5). Cut 1/2 sections, and you have all the rubber bands you could ever hope to use. The white stuff on the inside is just talcum powder.

Unfortunately I don't actually own any tactical clothes but we can't have everything.

Maybe these guys can sell you something to wear while shooting the rifle:
