Anyone live in the Tampa area? I am looking for recommendation on a range. I have tried Shoot Straight which isn't bad for pistol, although their rules state no reloads.

Experience with the outdoor range in Ruskin?

Where do you guys go to shoot?

I don't live in Tampa so do not have to have a regular range, but do visit there every once in a while.

Shoot Straight is a nice indoor lane rental shop.

The IDPA club used to shoot in Ruskin and I always tried to schedule trips to make a match, but I have not shot there on a casual basis and don't know how they operate.

The last few years' IDPA State Championship has been at Wyoming Antelope Club in Clearwater. That is a good facility, but I don't know how public the Public Line is.

The Manatee range has a lot of choices, including 1000 yd gongs.

Dade City gun club are they still open?
Wyoming Antelope Club in Pinellas County has some fairly strict rules but it is the middle of one of the most densely populated counties in the state.
Hernando Sportsman's Club has machine gun shoots on certain holidays.
Manatee Gun and Archery has CAS and SSAS shoots, or used to. Dress up like a Western character and shoot the bad guys.

Tenoroc

Tenoroc in Lakeland is a state run facility but is pretty nice. Pistol, rifle, and sporting clays.

If you are moving to the area Lakeland Rifle and Pistol Club is a private club and is a great place for membership. We have 7 yd. training range, 100 yd.rifle range, 25&50 yd. rifle/pistol range, 10-40 yd. pattern board, skeet, and trap.
