With recent world events it seems everybody is raising prices on even 9mm range ammo. TargetSportsUSA seems to have a large supply and prices havenā€™t budged (that I have seen). Iā€™ve always liked buying from them but they might be my new favorite/go to. 189014EA-3F43-4E49-81E8-49550479A322.jpeg

That New Republic 115 gr is decent range ammo.
I joined the with the Ammo+ membership several months ago. That's 8% off listed pricing plus free shipping. As I order for myself and my shooting bud the membership has already more than paid for itself.

I handload so buying factory 9mm leaves more of my primer stash free to load .38 spl. (additional rationalization and justification for the membership LOL)

iirc that New Republic 155 gr chronoed at 1125-1135 fps out of my Glock 19. Easy to keep in the black of a B8 at 25 yards and cycles well.

I also get "member only" special emails which is nice. I picked up a case of that New Republic for 24 cents per round including tax. (So 22 cents per round plus tax for the mathematically challenged like me :) )

Always been an SG Ammo fan as well.

sales tax kills these dealsā€¦I stopped buying ammo at TS and SG because of it.

Legit question Otto, How do you get around sales tax?

I know there's no such thing as "free shipping" as it's factored into the price they charge. But any tips on saving money is always appreciated.

What I think @Otto meant is with the leveling out of sales tax collection by law, the seemingly tax-free online sales advantage* went away. And with shipping the pricing is perceived to be no longer competitive with local stores. I don't find this so, however. I tend to buy case lots which generally are shipped free, but ultimately the all-in price is lower online than in stores, and less of a hassle.

*this was actually people breaking the law even if it wasn't enforced much. I'm pretty certain every state has a "use tax" provision that requires payment of tax identical to sales tax if you did not pay sales tax in some other state.

Cheap Hungarian ammo. Not sure if itā€™s any good but itā€™s cheap ... New Republic "Training/Range" 9mm 115 gr FMJ (1180 fps) $239.80/1000 + free shipping
Winchester/Browning/Fiocchi are even cheaper than Hungarian "Training/Range" ammo.

Winchester 9mm 115 gr FMJ (1190 fps Target) $396.99/1700 ($233.52/1000) + free shipping - https://www.aeammo.com/products/winchester-usa9mmvp-020892231771-bw-1-18-5666

Browning 9mm 115 gr FMJ (1190 fps Training & Practice) $396.99/1700 ($233.52/1000) + free shipping - https://www.aeammo.com/products/browning-b191800093-020892224087-fw-6-34-5666

Fiocchi 9mm 115 gr FMJ (1200 fps) $396.99/1700 ($233.52/1000) + free shipping - https://www.aeammo.com/products/fiocchi-9ap-762344001623-5666

Thank you @unclenunzie .
That makes sense.

I always factor in taxes, whether purchasing in store or online. I've been charged sales tax for online purchases for a number of years now.

Handgun ammo is readily available here in East TN, components not so much so.
Even "sale" prices for 9mm locally runs 28-30/rd plus tax. So ordering 1000 lot(cases) of 9mm online just makes financial sense to me.

We periodically have tax free periods on food or "back to school" items, but I haven't seen it applied to guns and/or ammo.

Thank you for the clarification.

There are still a few dealers that donā€™t collect tax but Iā€™m not willing to share their names, sorry. The OPā€™s ammo price is ok, but the ā€œdeliveredā€ price is higher than what I can currently buy elsewhere.
Before Biden took over, my average costs for 9mm was 17 cents a round ā€œdeliveredā€. I bought it cheap and stacked it deep.

Do they charge sales tax when shipped to a state that doesn't have a sales tax? I know GB doesn't.
I love in Orygun and have no sales tax, at least thatā€™s what they tell us after they passed a tax on sales because that is somehow different, but thatā€™s another story. The tax usually goes away from your cart when you put in your address as most retailers donā€™t collect tax from us.

Targetsports has always been my go to bulk source. Free shipping and since they are in CT I get my shipments the following day. Or at least I used to, everything is very slack across the board since covid and everything. It takes longer for just about everything and it costs more too.

I've done business with Target Sports USA, they are good folks. Also deal with MidSouth Shooters Supply, they too have decent prices.

Last 9mm ammo I bought was $11.99 a box. Trade in LEO .45 ACP was $14.99 a box. Always keeping myneyes

Yeah, I get emails from multiple vendors every day.
All have been raising prices. Supply vs demand plus a devaluing dollar.
Challenging times.
Having been through multiple cycles of this I'm just glad to have what I have in the way of ammo and components.
Good luck to all.
