Took my PT111 G2 auto and 605 .357 revolver out to the range for the first time today.

The PT111 fired 100 rounds with no failures of any kind--reasonably accurate--I forgot to bring the little screwdriver the give you to adjust the rear sight with---grouping to the left but the group was reasonably tight.

My 605 is a newer version with the bull image molded into the grip--purchased NIB a week ago---the .38 +p loads seemed to buck as much as the full on .357 loads---I had plans to put a Hogue rubber grip but the factory grip handles the recoil out of this little cannon just fine, so I don't think so anymore. Had read reviews where some complained about the .357 recoil out of this little gun but wasn't an issue for me.

The 605 shot mostly high for me but most of the shots were an inch or two apart---I think the high shots were mostly me because I took my Rx glasses off to use the safety glasses and the sights are quite small. 75 or so rounds fired in this one also with no issues at all.

I've never been much of a Taurus fan but these little buggers are growing on me---I was looking for a little variety and the PT111 was bought because of the low price and good online reviews---the 605 was bought because I have a stock of .357/.38 ammo with no gun to shoot it in and the price was literally half that of a Ruger SP101.

That said, my Glocks are still the most accurate in my hands---easily tearing out the center of bulls eye with rapid fire.

A couple more positive range sessions like this and these 2 Tauri might make it up to carry status. Because they are both small and light weight.

I have owned... not sure, maybe 15 or so Taurus handguns over the years. If it functions correctly for a few hundred rounds and has a nice trigger, then you got yourself a winner.

A good Taurus is a good bargain.

I had a Taurus PT111 Gen.3 that was a very well made gun. Was nicely assembled with great overall fit and finish and had a decent trigger. The only thing I didn't care for (and the main reason why I sold it), was the grip angle was a bit too upright for me and it was making it difficult for me to acquire a proper sight picture.
