I like to compare with Taurus 24/7 9mm pro and Ruger 89, I bought 89 before but sold it last year, I like 89 but for only one reason I sold it because it is a
little too heavy and not good for carry . Now someone introduced Taurus 24/7 9mm to me, the only thing I don’t like is the “ single / double action system” . I worry it is a double action only ( DAO) gun and single action doesn’t work properly. I bought a DAO gun before ( SW 9ve) , it gave to me very bad image. So I maybe will buy the 89 back.I am not able to pay more than $ 400-$450 right now.

Thanks!

The taurus pro is a da/sa pistol even though it is striker fired. I had one in 45acp. and it could be cocked and locked. If you pulled the trigger after it was cocked and it didn't fire the next pull was double action. If I remember correctly the 1st non pro 24/7 pistols were DAO. Mark

For $499.00 you can get yourself a brand new Glock 17/19...I wouldn't even consider the Taurus 24/7, the P89 being huge, is also passe....

I don't have any experience with a Taurus auto so I can't comment on them. I have a Ruger P series & while it is a good gun it is bulky for carry. I would say take your time & shop around. There are a lot of options in your price range.

I don't like Glock 17/19's trigger. I like a gun which has hammer and stable S/D action, Ruger meet my request in this point.

It is said the 24/7's trigger's single action maybe doesn't fire and you have to reset the trigger to become double action, I like to know how big chance which will happen?
