Taurus customer "service". Does anyone else carry Taurus parts?

I broke the firing pin in my Taurus model 66 a couple months ago:

Getting a replacement from Taurus has proved, ahhh, "trying".

I called a day or two later, provided name, address, credit card, all that stuff., and ordered the part.

And waited.

I called the 17th of September, was told there was no record of the order, and reordered.

I called the 29th, the computer systems were "in transition", the part was not yet in the new system, and couldn't be sent. <scowl> Class is coming up, I'd like to use that gun.

Did I mention yet that my card was charged on 27 aug 2003 by Taurus Intl.?

Today, 20 Oct 2003, I called. No record of order. "By the way, my card was charged for this on August 27th." "Just a minute." which was about 15 minutes ago. Good thing the boss' got a line on a voice over ip rig.

I just want to get the gun working. It's an OK gun, not S&W quality, but OK. Right now it's the tactical equivalent of a pretty rock. My desire to have another is shrinking by the minute.

Does anyone else sell Taurus parts? Brownell's doesn't, AFAIK.

I have never heard of anyone else selling parts for the Tauri.

That's one of the reasons I got rid of both of mine. The parts are hard to come by, and I am not willing to fork ou the cash each time to send it to them just to fix something I can do myself.
