Taurus Judge Malfunction

I shot my recently acquired Taurus Judge. After the second cylinder was shot, the double action didn’t work and when I opened cylinder, the cylinder assembly wanted to fall out of its boss fit. I was able to pull cylinder stop into its extended position and reinstall cylinder where the spring loaded actuator properly operated the cylinder stop mechanism, so everything seems like it’s working properly but now the cylinder wants to slide out of the cylinder boss every time I open it. Any ideas what may be going on? TIA...

Sounds like the rod or extractor star unwound. I am not sure how to fix it on the Taurus, I just had to repair that on a very old S&W Military and police tho.
