Do they care about all the negitive comments? Are they trying to fix the problems? Dont they read these forums? It seems to me if they worked to improve customer service to an excellent position they would sell many, many more firearms! Wake up Taurus!!!

They probably figure "why spend the time and money to improve customer service" when people seem to be purchasing all they can make right now. As for me, I wouldn't by a Taurus but plenty others seem happy to do so.

I've owned taurus pistols along with SA, Witness, S&W, RIA, Colt and Ruger. I've never had a problem with Taurus. I have even called them in Florida and had them send me replacement recoil springs for my PT145 Pro. No charge, they sent two sets of the double spring assys. I had a safety malfunction on my PT1911 and they fixed it within a couple of weeks and returned it with some extra mags. I did have to suffer the outrageous cost of shipping the gun to them however. S&W seems to be a bit better about sending call tags for pickup at their expense. If I considered the reduced cost of the Taurus guns I guess shipping cost to send one back out of five isn't too bad, it only averages out to about ten bucks a gun.

I own one Taurus revolver. I had a catastrophic failure of the barrel on the first shot. But the good news is that Taurus customer service was fast and outstanding.

The fix was quick and well done. No problems since. So I have zero problems with Taurus at this point.

To answer your question, no Taurus does not read the gun boards, if they did do you realize just how many people they would have to employ to find all the post about Taurus.. I mean how many gun boards do you think there is?

I believe Taurus has one of the best customer service out there on the market today. The Taurus Unlimited Lifetime Repair Policy is just that. The lifetime of the gun...not the buyer. Simply put, their unprecedented repair policy stands firmly behind every firearm imported or manufactured by Taurus International. The full terms are we will repair your Taurus firearm

FREE OF CHARGE for the lifetime of the firearm.

Now I have to ask you, have you contacted Taurus and expressed to them what you have here?

I don't work for Taurus, but I have never had a bad Taurus revolver or auto loader yet.

Taurus made good guns, I knew that and I've been dream to own one of the tracker model since they launch, but no aftersale support in Canada and they don't ship parts to Canada as well and this turn me off. I am not sure how great is the Customer service like that but honestly I love their gun, very well made and good price.

I've had two little Tauruses. The 22 works fine so far. The 25 was the worst gun I've ever seen...ever, by far. It took months to come back from Florida with only some of the problems seen to. :fire: Away it went!!!!

I sent it in about late last spring and got it back about September I think. Promptly traded it in on something else. The 22 works fine so far. Both looked the same but one was hopeless. I'll keep the 22 as long as it works okay but amm too disgusted to buy another Taurus.

I know people hack on Taurus, but my two PT models eat like teenage boys. I've never had to enter into their customer service arena.

As a person in the "for now" economy proof booming solar industry, I can speak to slacking operators collectively letting quality slip just to meet their numbers. I imagine this problem is even worse in Brazil. But I'm just guessing.

I don't own any Taurus products.

I have read many posts here on THR and on other forums regarding customer service levels of different companies.

My experiences with many different companies and different product types has been that the customer service people will treat you according to the way you treat them. Remember, most calls that these people receive are essentially complaints. People become cranked up and then trying and pass this on to the CS rep. By being friendly and gently pushing your point will in almost all cases result in you getting what you want. It does not matter that you have a right to service or warranty.

My advice:

Before calling customer service, think through what you are going to say and relax, be friendly, be human!

You don't need to beg for what is rightfully yours, but don't be aggressive or abusive. Honey works, vinegar does not.

First ten shot clip in new Taurus PT145 Pro. Only two fired. Getting different punch depths out of firing pin. It was 28 degrees at the range, Maybe a stiffened assembly lube? Found warranty card. It said "must mail within 10 days of purchase." Missed that window. I may find out how the company stands behind their product.

well, i know for a fact, that they know about the problem concerning their so called customer service. i wrote the ceo of the company about it. no response what so ever. so, i guess that is their answer, they just do not care. the one that i currently own will be the last taurus product i will ever buy. my wife also owns one. same goes for her. at the first glitch, they will get taken somewhere and traded in.

I must respectfully disagree. I have no firsthand experiance with Taurus CS, and only own one of there guns, an old 4" .357. They seem to send parts out quickly, but if you need to send the gun in to them for repair, you NEED a lifetime repair policy, because it'll take about that long to get it back. One friend, against my advice, bought a PT1911 that had feed issues with a variaty of magazines. He sent it back 5 months ago, and has no idea of the current status. He's gotten no response to email, and no solid answers from phone calls.

Its one thing to have a "policy", another entirely to execute it well. From what I've seen at second-hand, their execution leaves a LOT to be desired.
