Just got PT145 Millenium Pro,and no problems with feed or function,EXCEPT :cuss: when doing rapid fire drills, the mag drops, leaving me with an empty chamber.Seems to be more prevelant with one mag versus the other, but I wonder if my grip on the gun could be the problem.Anyone else have this happen?Perhaps a stiffer mag catch spring would cure it,sure doesn't take much pressure to drop the mag.Ideas??Thanks in advance to anyone sharing their wisdom/experience...

Had the same problem with my pt145 MP...the mag would drop down about 1/4" after every two or three shots. Only had one mag. never could find another MP mag....only M mags. The MP mags and the M mags are not interchangable...what was Taurus thinking??? Anyway...had to ship it back to Taurus, when it came back it was fine. Still is....wish I could find another MP mag though.....

Try shooting your drills with your other hand. If the mag pops out, then I'd let somebody else have a go with it. Same problem, then you probably need a new magazine release.

BTW, I tried one of my Millenium PT-145 magazines (from a late model gun, just prior to introduction to the Pro) in a Pro and it worked fine. There were two different Millenium series PT-145s. Early on, the gun looked pretty much the same as the 9mm and .40. Then the design was changed to something very, very close to the present Pro models. Don't know when this was, but the early vs. late magazines were definitely different.

If you don't already have a second mag, get one before you draw any conclusions or send it back to Taurus for repair.
