What's everyone's opinion of the Taurus remake of the Winchester 63? Is it worth the relatively cheap $$$. Keep in mind I already have a souped up 10/22, CZ452LUX, and Walther G22, so this would be purely for plinking/nostalgic purposes. Any Taurus 63 owners wanna chime in about reliability, workmanship, etc? A true Win 63 appears to be more than I want to spend at the moment.

Gun runs fine. Very accurate with even cheap .22 ammo. The only real complaint I had was that the sights are sharp. The edges need a file.

The front sight is a post not a bead as was on the original . Also I had to file the front sight down to zero the gun at 50 yards unless I wanted to use the rear sight raised to it's highest adjustment.

The accessory aperture sight(goes on the tang) is OK but interferes with comfortable carry and holding. The open rear sight should be removed if you go this route.

I don't own the M63 and I haven't heard from many who do (Taurus doesn't seem to sell/make as many rifles as pistols) but from the few I've heard from they sound decent. I know it is on my wish list. Anyway, from the sounds of it you are a bit RF fan in which case I'd say "go for it!"

Yeah, I think I'm going to pickup a Henry Golden Boy and a Taurus 63. Something about steel and wood....hehe..yeah...I said wood. Rimfires are just too much fun.

Umm, Taurus 63 and Henry Golden Boy. Great combo. Probably the two rimfire I most want.
