I have a tcp that I bought used, it seems to be a jam o matic which is annoying but the biggest problem i'm having is that the ????? takedown pin (not sure if that's what it's called) works itself out after a couple rounds.

So my question is what is Taurus warrenty like? Does it cover only the original owner or is it the lifetime of the gun?

Does anyone else have this problem with theirs?

The Taurus lifetime warranty covers the gun, not just the original owner. I'm sure they will take care of you.

May I ask what your serial range is? My take down pin is a bit too easy to remove IMO but it hasn't been a problem yet. Mine absolutely hates the cheap reloads purchased for practice though. Runs 100% with quality ammunition.

the first 3 numbers are 470 and the letter at the end is c. I'm not sure how they number them, it's 6 digits and the letter.

The jam issues i'm having are failures to feed......the slide locks back because the round isn't picked up. I'm using factory ball ammo.

The same spring operates the slide lock and holds the disassembly pin in place. If it's broken or out of place you will get the exact problems you're describing. If you push down on the spring through the disassembly pin hole, does it move easily and pop back up freely?

I had tried one of these for my wife. Would not run unless it was literally dripping with oil. Junk.

Mine will eat any type of 380acp ammo. I bought it used and have put about 400 rounds downrange. I currently only shoot 2 mags through it once a month. The first 3 range trips I shot at least 100 rounds of assorted ammunition on each trip to ensure reliability.

If you still have that junk pistol I will give you $20.00 for it. My PT738 runs perfect but you never know when you might need spare parts. My TCP is a B and shoots great.
