Tax rebate. How will you spend it? (Merged threads)

Okay - saw on the news this morning that President Bush was pushing for $ 800 in tax rebates for individuals and $ 1600 for families as part of a stimulus package.

Ignoring the politics for awhile, and indeed the likelihood of this passing, what would YOU do with your rebate to act on your patriotic duty to help stumulate the economy - from a 2A perspective of course?

A new 1911? Maybe Rugers new Redhawk in .45LC? Decisions...decisions. As for myself, I've been looking over this :

Well, ours will sit in the bank for emergencies until fall. Barring emergencies, in the fall, to celebrate Thain finishing school, we will use some of it to get our first 1911, probably an STI Spartan.

A small amount of it will be used right away for ammo, components, and reloading gear.

I probably won't buy anything more to pack and carry around.

Presuming no emergencies and the Bride doesn't already have an idea, I may just up my membership in the NRA from 'life' to whatever. Or spread it out among a few of the Second Amendment groups.

Or, I may keep it and buy gas to move from People's Democratic Socialist Republic of California to somewhere in the United States. That would be a pro Second Amendment thing, huh?

I'm using my refund to get a good AK while I still can. One or two more pistols and a good battle rifle is about all my safe can hold If I get a rebate on top of that, I need to invest in some reloading equipment so I can afford to shoot more than rimfire...
