I found a near perfect TC Contender for sale for $325. A friend of mine who I work with said he bought in about 1982. It's the long barrel, wood stock with a big cat on a mountain ridge etched into the metal. The gun looks new and is chambered for 223.

Is this some sort of special Contender and is it worth $325?

well yes, of course it is worth the money....grab it before someone else that know the value of these great handguns does......

Umm, I've had a Contender up on the THR Sale boards for far under $325, for a couple weeks now, and no bites.

Is this board just a bad board to sell Contenders on?

the 223 is just one of those calibers that it seems to really shine in a pistol barrel. And if you reload, then it becomes somthing more. :)

of course, if you don't really like the caliber, you can get it rechambered to a 219 Wasp or similar...

You can, if its a good chamber cut, keep that thing well inside an inch at 100.

I am blessed with a 12" that allows me this. I have made others VERY angry that were shooting nice rifles that cost a significant fraction more than my TC.

Hi McGunner...

Bingo! I hope Matt's has the Magnaported 7.62 Nato/.223 barrel with the Swiss Army fold-out Hummvie and the 27Killowatt multi-directional flamethrower with optional camo pancake holster!

:D :D :D :D :D
