I know the TC Hotshot is popular with some around here as a first rifle, backpacker, etc. and I could really use some help. I just purchased one for my daughter and since we weren't able to find a pink one she wanted me to paint hers.

I have painted several rifles etc. before but this one has me stumped. I disassembled it and against better judgment punched the pins out to remove the barrel and trigger group.

This is where the problems begin I painted the rifle and started to reassemble the rifle but the way it came apart cant figure out exactly how the springs and the two plastic shims go back in the trigger group

I have called Thompson and they were no help at all. I was hoping someone here that has a Hotshot might have some idea or be able to send me a picture of the inner workings of the rifle. Otherwise I may be forced to buy a second rifle and try and disassemble it to figure things out which I really don't want to do.

I would greatly appreciate any help anyone could provide as my daughter would really like to shoot her new rifle soon as its already passed her birthday.

Thank you,
Zac Shotts

Mike Bellm has a site for the TC firearms, this PDF is where he shows how to take apart a TC receiver and reassemble it. He says reassembly in under 5 minutes when you have done it before. This might help as the receivers are the same. Go here http://www.bellmtcs.com/store/images/downloads/triggerjobmanual2.pdf Or find a local gunsmith that might be able to do it.
A tip for next time.
If you take something apart, take pictures at each step showing orientation and part removed this can be a BIG help.

Welcome to the high road sir.:)

Thanks I spoke to Mike and Jim Hendershot as well and neither had ever saw a TC hotshot which is very different than other TC's. I finally figured it out Friday. The way the thing came apart there was no way to take pictures at each step, but thanks for the advice I generally follow that practice when possible.
