I consider myself a hybrid...maybe a Ludditechie? Or a Techiluddite? Ive never been intimidated or too leary of current-gen tech. Nor have I lost interest in "old school" tech.
Essentially, stuff like rails, tritium sights, "tacticool" stocks, etc., dont bother me much; including weapons containing none of these things.
I buy a weapon based on capability/need (and yes, sometimes want). If this capability extends into the "tactical" arena, so be it. If not, then chances are I am simply needing a weapon covering nothing more than the basics.
I love weapons...period. Whether Rambo or Clint Eastwood, stormtrooper (Star Wars) or soldier...I dig them all (mostly anyway). Now, the muzzleloaders, "wild, wild west" type guns and so forth, I can certainly live without.
