I hadn’t read up on the Nuge in a very long time so I just did. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion so I’ll state mine. I believe Ted possibly does more harm than good and don’t have any desire to be in his company.

I think some just need to lighten up altogether and not take things so seriously. Just like I have become exhausted with the amount of stupid gun channels. Especially the tacticacool nutcases out there. Ted might not be the greatest speaker out there, but he still gets the message across. And I much rather spend the day out in the field with him than shooting basketball hoops with some anti-gun jerk.
I will say this, I really loved this fantastic Nutfancy review.

Agreed. As a guitar player, I can appreciate and respect Ted's playing. I've seen him live 7 times 1st back in 78-79 and as recently as a few years ago. Loved his performance everytime. As a gun owner, avid hunter and general outdoor lover, I feel he's an idiot. His antics do not represent my, or I suspect many other folks', approach with regard to gun right and hunting discussions. I prefer to actual listen to other folks opinions and thoughts, even if they are counter to my own. I'd rather, and have, take "antis" to the range to teach and show them what responsible gun owners are really like, and shared wild game with them to enjoy. Crazy how one can find common ground and mutual respect on things. Of course, you gotta actually try.

Queue the "flaming", left vs right garbage, and us vs them stuff. LOL!

I guess I,m just a dull hunter who doesn,t jump up and down while hi fiving after taking a animal or play loud music and saying dumb things about eating certain parts of the tame hand fed animal I just shot. ted sure does not represent any hunters I have known or knew in over 60 years of hunting.

There usually are two sides of a story. One is the public personality, another is what the person actually is. And does. I've never, ever hunted voluntarily in the manner (I had to, NRA PR stuff) I had to portray to BBC World News crew and that's "my" public image, if there ever is one. On the other hand the Outdoor Channel is full of pseudo-exciting stuff that has been crammed into 20-45 minutes and that hardly represents the individuals featured on the shows.

A friend of mine, former NHL hockey player, used to be known as a fierce fighter and as "dirty" muscle that was brought to a rink to take the edge out of star players of the other team. I private he's one of the most subdued, civilized gentlemen I've ever had a pleasure to know. He made a boatload of money with his public image, knowingly and on purpose, by choice.

I don't have a clue who Ted Nugent actually is in private, but considering his career, I'd hazard a guess the majority of what is seen of him in public is a well thought-out act.

As far as your comment on his public image is concerned, I agree, a well-deserved like given.

I agree, I doubt any of us know the real man. And there are two sides to every story. No he is not articulate, does not wear a the latest Calvin Klein Suite. Maybe he is a phony, maybe he actually loves the outdoors, shooting and the rights of all Americans to have and keep the 2nd Amendment to our Constitution. I personally do not watch any of the Outdoor channel garbage and even though I have hunted all my life, I have never been fond of displaying Pics of Trophy's etc. For me, it never was about the size of the animal, antlers etc. It was and is just the Beauty of Being with Nature and the great outdoors. Each to his own.
I use to know a Car Dealer that had about 20 big game animals he had killed and mounted in his show room.Big deal. Fortunately for him his true "Character" was NOT mounted.

Safety Sally here. No one wore safety glasses in the video. That said shotguns will never be out of style with me.

I seen on the news a while back the anniversary of a school shooting and all the kids that showed up for the protest were anti gun.

Really? Or is that just how the media presented it in their biased coverage of the event?
