I've been wanting to get one in .357 with a 7.5" barrel.
Can those handle full factory 357 loads?

I settled on a Uberti 1873 Cattleman, bought it yesterday. Took it to the range this afternoon along with my Henry rifle and my S&W M25-5. I set up my chronograph to see what kinds of velocity I was getting with my loads, I thought they would be close to 800 fps according to the load data. Not too far off, the 4" S&W was running about 740 fps, the 5-1/2" Uberti was at 780-ish, and the rifle was about 875 on the same loads (9.9 grains AA#5 and a 250 grain plated RNFP). I put 50 rounds through the Uberti shooting at steel plates, I'm going to need to set up some paper targets and see where my rounds are going. I think I'm shooting a bit high at the 25 yard targets, but I did hit the 8" steel plates at 15 yards pretty well. I like this SAA, will probably pick up another one in a month or two. There was a LGS about 15 miles away that had this one, price was right.

I like the looks of the octagon barrels. Uberti had a couple of models with octagon barrels, but I figured them heavier than what I wanted. The picture does not do them justice but they are some serious badboys so much so that I HAD to have both worked my butt off to get the funds to do so and I was not disappointed.
