Tell me about Hogdon Titegroup.

Have used it in 45, 40 S&W and 9mm with good results. Is my go to powder for 9mm especially 3.5 grins under 147 grain bullets. Meters Better in my Dillon 550 than Unique, It will not cycle my !0mm Glock 40 MOS at all. All in all I like Tite Group in most auto pistole loads except for the 10 mm. I shoot a lot of unique also but not much case capacity for unique in the 9mm. And standard Unique loads will cycle my 10 mm.

I have only loaded Tite group with jacketed bullets in .41 mag, .357 mag, and in 9mm. It worked well in all of them. But so did Universal and HP38 both of which have a little more case fill (but still not enough). I would use Tite group if I needed to. A friend loads it in .45 and in .45 Colt. He thinks it is less position sensitive than other powders in a big case. He is also a fan boy of Hodgdon.

Works well for 380. With 230gn 45acp projectiles it will not produce max velocities, but I've made very nice, low recoil loads 750ish fps. It does burn hot, and likes to stain 45 cases until I get it to, or close to max loads. Have not loaded 9mm with it, but would not hesitate to with 115g. I'd imagine it works a treat for .32 and .25.

I've had good luck with titegroup in .38 special HBWC loads for my wife. Following Hornady's load data it makes a nice low recoil load for her. Bought 2 pounds in 2015 when other powders were not available locally for pistol reloading. A little goes a long way, which is very good right now.

How about 454 Casull or 500 S&W??? Yes.... there's data for it.

Not in a million years...

Yes, I saw that as well...there's no way I'm doing something like that with TG. Hodgdon also lists it for heavier 460 S&W loads...again, no thanks.

I use TG for 9mm and 38 special, primarily 115g Berry's in 9mm, Hi-Tek DEWC in 38. It works great and a lb goes a LONG way.
