where else? TN.
I have a chance to pick one of these up from an acquaintance of mine for $60. I was thinking about picking up a Mosin Nagant in the near future but this deal sort of fell in my lap today.

Here's what I know about this particular specimen. I have seen it, but this was before I was thinking about buying it so I didn't look at it in detail. The bore is in really good condition, the stock and a few other parts are off of another Mark III but looks really nice and the fellow I'm getting it from is a C&R lover who I'm sure takes great care of his guns. It looks to be in great condition overall. However, I'm sure it's just a mix and match frankengun.

Normally, I'm not really a milsurp guy. I have some experience with milsurp pistols, but I don't own any rifles from this far back. I have a fairly nice gun collection, but it has a gap in the old milsurp bolt action department. I'm not interested in this thing for anything but some fun at the range.

Google didn't tell me anything I didn't already know about this gun (which isn't much :D), so any general info would be appreciated.

Is there anything I should know before buying it? Anything I should look for on it? Also, how is the .303 for reloading?

For $60 I'm sure I'll get at least $60 worth of fun out of it.

$60? Buy it. Even a No1Mk111 parts gun is worth that. They're not making more of these. If it has a good bore its worth about $200. If all matching serial numbers, even more. Besides thery are great fun to shoot and a piece of history.
