But, isn't it (in Florida more specifically, but for most other places as well):
18 for posession and purchase of long guns (including FFL)
18 for posesssion and private purchase of handguns
and 21 for the purchase of handguns from an FFL?
I ask this because the above bit is to the best of my recollection and what I've been going by for ages now.
But, this past show in Orland (about two weeks ago) there were some interesting things going on. Mostly, people were just freaking out. I was being told left and right that it was 21 for even the posession of a handgun in Fl, and in some cases folks (including some cops, but personally I don't really trust them to know the ins-and-outs of firearms laws, no offense) that posession of ANY firearm was for 21 and up (I know this last bit's a load of bs). Some gentleman even began screaming at me and threatened to call security on me when I was trying to ask and clarify the situation; calling me 'a juvenille delinquent'. /sigh
I guess basically what it boils down to is:
Am I correct with thinking that it's 18 for posession and private purchase of handguns or has someone turned the books around on me when I looked away for two seconds?
Thanks in advance!
