Decided to buy myself one for an early Christmas present, just got to playing around with it.

Plugged into my WIN10 laptop, brought up the camera app good to go, nothing else to load on WIN10.

$49 so a decent price
I haven't checked all my other bores yet (ignorance is bliss) but thought I would take a look a my 9mm 1911 after a couple hundred rounds.
Yuck
These are just the dirty pics (no not those kind!), did a quick clean on it tonight and will again after my match tomorrow.
SS barrel 55K + rounds

Then I will look and see how clean it really is after the normal way I have been cleaning it.
(prepared to say oopps that didn't do it)

Happy with my new toy so far.
The last pic is just at the edge of the chamber.

Bought mine a few months ago as well. It teaches one thing rather well: a bore scope is not end all-be all diagnosis. I have had "dirty" barrels shoot fine. But I like using my borescope to look for problems. And I offer the same to my customers. If they are just curious to see what their bore looks like, I can give them a video or picture tour all the way down from chamber to crown.

I have one and really like it. Showed me how much copper I hadn't been getting out along with some carbon build up in a few barrels. Handy, but as was mentioned above there were a number of barrels that were shooting just great and were filthy so it's just a tool and not a final diagnosis. I use it as more of an audit on how well certain bore solvents work and can attest Bore Tech CU+2 works great.

Welcome to the club.
I learned a few things with mine.
1) slightly dirty barrels still shoot well.
2) damaged rifling can still shoot well.
3) Hoppes, butches bore shine, and shooter's choice all do a poor job on built up fouling.
4) mil-surp barrels can have solid rifling under all that carbon fouling.

Troy if you are interested in one, I believe there are apps for I phone or Android.
They have some models for abpout $90 that come with their own screen.
(search Amazon for Teslong bore scope)
I just have my fire tablet, but for some reason I can't install anymore apps even some will not update either. The one with the screen is nice, he nice to be able to post some interesting finds.

I had an app on my Android, but it died and work replaced it with an IPhone. I haven't found an app for it, anyone know where one is?
Their site says android or windows. I don't think it works on Iphone.
You might try downloading a generic endoscope app.
I use mine on my laptop.

@Walkalong what do you use to get a barrel clean like your clean pictures ? One look at my barrels told me that I wasn't cleaning as well as I thought I had been all these years. I realize that you do not need a totally clean barrel all the time, but it would be nice to get a fresh clean start once in a while. I bought some new brushes, but I realize that Hoppes, Shooters Choice, etc just isn't going to get the built up stuff out. Just because you get a clean patch doesn't mean it's clean :)

OK well sort of clean, still have a carbon ring in the chamber,
start of rifling does not look so good but 55K+ rounds, most in bursts of 30 rounds in 30 seconds (give or take, -USPSA stages)

Stainless steel, Springfield 9mm 1911

Of course now the carbon ring has got to come out some how....
(now that I know it's there)

Need to figure out how to dim the LEDs from the WIN10 camera app.
To bright on the above pics.

Now I need to get out my other 9mm 1911 with only a 1000 rounds and see what the start of rifling looks like on it.

I assume all the little groves/valleys are powder erosion.
(and of course the carbon ring...)
