I just wanted to say thanks to Dave McCracken, Dfariswheel, and everyone else who has worked on making this forum what it is.

Here I have learned more about shotguns than I once knew there was to know. (I guess that's a sentence if I read it real slow-like...)

To new members, interested in shotgunning, mine these threads--- there are people here who know enough about shotgunning to start their own school on the subject.

For myself, I now have THE perfect shotgun (for me) which serves all my gun needs out to 70 yards or so, and which I can maintain and repair as necessary. Best of all, it fits me like a glove.

Anyway, Thanks Dave McCracken and everybody else who shares their knowledge and experience here.

Yes ... the information in these threads, especially the Shotgun Library, brought me to purchase my Mossberg 590A1. Good stuff for someone trying to figure out what platform and then which model to purchase.

I'm with you JD.
When I got started handloading, the guys here kept me on the right track more often than I can remember. Guys like rcmodel and ljnowell helped me out a ton. Some of the questions I asked I look back and just shake my head.
It's a great place.

To you in particular I owe a beverage of your choice, should the occasion arise. I have read and learned from a LOT of your posts.
As a shotgun scholar yourself, the possibility (not certainty) exists that I can do you better than that. At some point in the future, I would very much like to tell you about a shotgun modification that's been very helpful to me. I judge you might find it interesting.

It's not something I can post here, as it's not factory tested, and the possibility exists of someone getting hurt.
Anyway, it seems to work for the 870, and if you'd like to hear about it, you can send me PM.
