Santa was good to me this year. He brought a new Custom Carry. I can't wait to get to the range to break in my new pistol.

By the way, give us a range report after you shoot it.
Will do. I had a great experience with Les Baer rental, which is what got me off the fence about purchasing one. I'm hoping to send at least 200 rounds downrange for an initial break-in Monday.

Time for the truth! Either you are Santa, or your significant other is awesome.

Congrats on a fine firearm. And we need a range report.....

I have got to try to be better next year and maybe Santa will bring me one next year.
Very nice gun have fun shooting it

You must be tickling the fat mans fancy to get him to bring you something like that... You must crap gingerbread cookies or something.

Nice gun!

Forget cookies and milk. Are you leaving Santa single malt Scotch and Cuban cigars?

Hilarious. Maybe if I did I could turn that into a side business?? :)

19-3Ben, you got me. Get Santa a little buzzed and he's more willing to negotiate.

Who cares what it takes to get on Santa's Nice list; got to love the results!

Well that settles it. Next year he gets a bottle of Dalmore 18.

Seriously, that's one gorgeous piece of work. I'd be proud to own, carry and shoot that bad boy!

Love my LB. Note: Mine kept getting better and better (smother and slicker) for at least 800-1000 round. I'd shoot it 2-300 rounds, clean it and do it again.

I think LB makes a really great handgun.

Remember, a lot of Baers take a good break-in period, so don't get discouraged if you get any failures in the first 1000 rounds.

Sound advice. I'm hoping to do just that tomorrow. I can't wait until the range opens!

Lucky guy!

Well, I got the chance to go to the range this morning. I shot two hundred rounds, with absolutely no issues. I shot a mix of ammo, including PPU, Freedom, Herters, and Monarch. All of my ammo was 230 grain, FMJ, brass case. I used the two 8 round mags that came with the pistol, as well as two Wilson Combat 7 rounders I had purchased previously.

The pistol was/is super tight. However, it did seem to loosen up a bit after just a few times of racking the slide at home. I was able to sling shot the slide on a fresh mag. I've read some folks had issues being able to sling shot their new Baers, but it wasn't an issue for me.

The feel of the pistol in my hand is fantastic. When I first handled the pistol, I thought the grip texture was a bit aggressive. I was wrong. The grips, in combination with the front strap checkering, combine to give the shooter excellent grip and control of the pistol.

The trigger break is very crisp, although I don't have a gauge to measure the actual pull. I think the trigger is as good as the Wilson I shot previously, although some of the Wilson owners on the board might disagree.

In summary, I'm very happy with my new pistol. The only negative was I gave myself a small blister on my index finger. Not enough manual labor on my part, I guess.
