This started out as a concept to build a 'pocket race-gun.' I used a JEM frame, STI grip and assorted components from RIA, Wilson Combat, EGW, Klonimus etc. I re-shaped and re-textured the STI grip frame, shortened the JEM monolithic frame, ported the RIA bull-barrel and slide. It takes Staccato magazines (16 rounds.) The slide is lightened as much as is practical and currently features an experimental mono-sight. This is adequately precise for short range and very fast to acquire, but there is a Vortex Venom in this gun's future, possibly mounted on a new slide. The current finish is just Oxpho Blue, but it will get a proper finish when I am done mucking about with it.

The trigger breaks at four pounds, very crisp with virtually zero overtravel, and the reset is extremely short. between the ported barrel, lightened slide and EGW Flat-coil recoil spring it is stupidly flat-shooting and fast on target. Other people that have fired it were pretty surprised and commented on the lack of felt recoil and muzzle-flip. Tested it with about 120 rounds yesterday, including a magazine with mixed ammo with bullets of all sorts of profiles and weights ranging from 65gr. to 158gr. It swallowed everything flawlessly.

I am really jazzed about how this is coming out and was giddy over how it shot yesterday. I love it when a plan comes together.
