Those are Kim Ahrends' square conversion, if it's a round butt 686, and likely made of cordia wood. They may run $60 or $70 + $6 s/h. He also has a 'retro-target' style that is more flat/squared at the back of the bottom. Below are both in cocobolo and without finger grooves, the bottom (696 - an L-frame) is the square conversion with Ahrends standard finis, the top (617 - a K-frame) is the retro-target delivered unfinished and after a few coats of an oil finish. K/L frames are the same - you just need to know whether you have a round butt or a square butt gripframe.
