And...most other 1911's don't have a full length dust cover.

That is a Les Baer Monolith that had additional custom work done to it. I remember when it was posted on 1 of the 1911 forums. That is a super sweet looking gun. I almost ordered one when I chose my Springfield Custom Shop Full Rail Operator

My choice would be--------------------

You can't go wrong with a Wilson! Relialble, Super Accurate, and the rest is History! Don't think $1500. would seal the deal, you might come across a previously owned model with low mileage for that price! :what:

A good number of KZ 45's are popping up for about 800-950 dollars now. For a full size carry gun, that's light and a good deal. They shoot well and are accurate and consistant.

On the flip side...there is the magazine issue.

Get a Kimber!

I have to agree with my fellow poster 1858 on the Kimber! Kimber was my first gun and I absolutely LOVE IT! Had it for sometime now with a few thousand rounds through it and I have NEVER had one jam, misfeed, or misfire!

I went with the stainless model (shown below) because that is what "I" wanted but go to Kimber's website and check out their different models ... they have some REALLY sharp looking handguns!

Regardless of what you decide to get I hope you will comeback and tell us about what you bought as well as attach some pics!!! GOOD LUCK!
