I shoot a target each month and post it on RFC's CZ Forum. We have an open sight (CZ only) match. The target is designed to be fired by super-accurate .22 rifles with high-magnification optics at 50 yards. One can't really see the individual bulls at that distance with the naked eye, so we shoot our open sighted version at 50 feet. This week, the potential was there for a high-240s score, but I kept dropping at least one point per row (two in row four):

CZ 452 UltraLux, Wolf Match Target
Caldwell Rock BR rest and rear bag of same manufacture
Low 70s and 2 to 5 mph winds. Very good conditions.

I get eye fatigue if I attempt a second card in the same session. Maybe next month will be the magic moment for an open-sighted 250.

I need a bit more help so I put on a set of Brno Target Sights. But the tangent sights the rifle came with are excellent.

I have one of those. I purchased one of the $15 trigger kits when I bought it and did my own trigger job. Great rifle. I eventually scoped mine.

Sadly, I believe they stopped making this model.

Nice shooting, BTW!

Nice shooting! I see your CZ likes Wolf Match Target ammo; same with all of my .22s!

Back in June I picked up a CZ 452 American LH model and I have yet to shoot it. I even have a somewhat good variety of 22 LR Match ammunition to try. I really need to get that rifle out for a test drive.

Great shooting, Danny Creasy!

Sadly, I believe they stopped making this model.
They apparently have just recently stopped production of the 452 Ultra Lux, but there are still a lot of them around. There are currently 52 NIB ones on offer on GB, and used ones will continue to surface after the NIB ones are gone.

Also, they are making the 455 version now. I'm a big fan of the 452 family of guns, but the 455 is apparently a very good gun as well.

i love my 452 ultralux. such great build quality. I just recently put on a military sling from butler creek purchased at walmart for 20 bucks. only 1 inch but then again only for a 22 so its ok. should be much cheaper practicing sling shooting than with my m1a. Haven't shot it with the sling but have been practcing in my living room.

with 22 lr coming back maybe we should revive the rimfire challenge from a few years back. they were fun.

ooh i now realized what. i have is the 455 ultralux. for those worrying about the loss of the 452. they just changed ro accommodate barrel switching but it is a great gun.

As of recently the 452LH (Left Hand) American was still available for any left handed shooters like myself who may want a 452.

Just ordered a CZ-452 Military Trainer chambered in the .22LR round.

I'm stoked bro.

I hear they're made to shoot with the open sights, the stock is shaped correctly for them.

Nice DC, and great shooting. I still have extra targets from years ago from rimfire central/shoots, at 50' might give it a go...hopefully my eyesight will permit

I'm going to bore out the sling swivel so it will take American swivels then put Uncle Mike's 1 1/4" swivels on and then put an M1907 leather sling on there.

Mmm hmm.
