If the first one was an all steel SP-01, and third was a B, not a BD, I'd agree. :)

I have the 75B, and the PCR.

I find it strange that you think the B series is superior to the BD when you own a PCR which is nothing more then the little brother to the BD. If you thought the B series was that much better, why didn't you get the D Compact instead of the PCR? :confused:

As for the polymer SP-01 (Phantom) verses the steel (Shadow?), the only real difference is the obvious; the material which the frame is made of, its' weight due to its' polymer frame and a decocker. In addition, it is my understand from several articles and blogs the reason that CZ has since discontinued the importation of the Phantom into this country was due primarily to a huge military contract for the Phantom (not the all steel SP-01 :neener:), requiring total production to be limited to this contract to meet CZ's contract requirements.

So the question is begging to be ask: Why didn't these military geniuses choose the all metal SP-01 if it was superior to the Phantom? Wondering mind want to know... :rolleyes:

Besides, go on GunBroker.com or any of the other gun auction/sales sites and see how many all metal SP-01 or 75B you can find verses trying to find a single Phantom. There is a reason why you can't find them and it's just that they're that Goooooood! :evil:

Most of the pre-B imports were marked on the slide, if marked (Bauska, etc), but some recent imports are marked on the frame: usually used guns, with the likes of C.A.I., etc, as import marks. The few totally unmarked ones were either brought in one at a time by GI's from Germany, other parts of Europe, or regular citizens paying the duty fees and bringing them in from Canada, prior to 1989. I believe yours and mine are apparently unmarked, and a little "rare" because of that.
 
Thanks Sharp, mine does not have any import marks, only the typical proof marks and date ('87 on this one). Cool to have a "rare" one. I paid $350 for this one about two years ago. Some of the best money I've spent.
 
Finally got my P-01 in!
Added a set of VZ Frag grips in Black Cherry and a Streamlight TLR-1.
It has officially taken the place of all my other guns as home defense gun and weekend range toy. I love it!
Now I wait until the Milt Sparks VM-2 I ordered for it comes in...

Sometimes I feel like I should get some nice looking grips for my SP-01, . . . but the Hogue just feels so great on it. :uhoh:

Love the new pistol [and grips], g-one!
 
I haven't been on this thread for a while since I sold my 85 Combat well doom and regret has finely got me righted I bought a CZ75 Tactical Sport now I don't miss the 85, don't really miss anything with the Tac Sport;)

I have a brand new CZ 455FS in .22LR, and it's a sweet shooting rifle. I already have a tack driving .22LR bolt action scoped Marlin, so I opted to put a Williams Receiver sight on the CZ instead of a scope. It really makes it a sweet little rifle. The aperture sight is ideal on the full stock model, since it has the European style stock which is made for iron sights. I got a 455FS with extra fancy walnut and it's a beautiful rifle; a real shooter and a keeper. I also have the option of ordering a drop in replacement factory barrel in .22 Magnum or .17HMR for the CZ455. You ought to give the CZ rimfires a look. They are superbly made rifles. So are the center fires.
