Hi ,I just come across a vintage ,70s era Weaver Qwik Point red dot scope ,had never seen one before, this one is set up for a shotgun mounting ,the marking on the mount is 1100.After a qwik search i came up empty handed for the Weaver mount for to use it on a rifle.would you or anyone have a suggestion for a mount to modifie and make it work ?

Might find one on Fleabay or try calling a part's warehouse like Numrich or Jack First.

Tryed a few of them ,on fleabay came across the entire unit but I only need the base. The thing is obsolete,I just like to keep busy ,and I like old things.

Here is another odd one, the armson "occluded eye gun sight". You had to have two eyes to use them but they work.

Here is one on a Glock

I have two of the Armson OEG sights. They are getting dim and aren't in business anymore. I haven't heard of anyone else who can recharge them. Pretty good when they were new,and no batteries needed.

Jmorris, thanks for that info. Read somewhere years back that they were out of production. Looks like I will be sending mine back to be recharged.

Inter1, the rifle-mounted Qwik Point has the Weaver clamp attached to the bottom of the scope with 3 screws. As I recall, the Qwik Points manufactured for shotgun-mounting had a totally different set-up. This scope body is marked "Model R1".

I used an armson OEG in another life time. The first gun I saw one on and used was a Sterling. They were also the first issued "red dot" sights in the USA for the Son Tay Raid. An updated model is still being made and can be purchased on the net.

Cheers,
TS
