The H&H Magnums

Beautiful rifle...But its a dead man's rifle....But I guess, since he didn't die with it or because of it, its fine to own. She's a beaut!

Heck, most of the rifles I own were owned at one time or another by someone who's passed on by now. Like you say as long as it wasn't directly involved you're just giving it a good home.

-------

The owner of the gun / hunting / fishing shop where I worked once asked me "I just heard of a cartridge called the 300 H&H Magnum. Never heard of it before. How rare is it?"

"Pretty rare" I replied. "I don't own even one."

"Oh, that rare"

--------

Never have had the pleasure of a 300 H&H. Have had a couple of 375s, including a Ruger No.1 that was the nastiest kicking rifle I ever hope to own. The Whitworth Mark X was not as bad. My 458 kicks more, but is much more bearable than the No. 1 was. Don't have a 375 at the moment, but that's subject to change.

Slamfire1 - What a classic beauty!

My Winchester Safari Express in 375H&H.
Once I got the bedding and crown fixed it became one heck of an accurate rifle.

Robert - I've seen several of the Win. SEs over the years, but yours is certainly the nicest. Great wood.

Some really nice rifles, gentlemen.
Glad to see this thread revived :).

For those who wonder:
The kick on the .300 H&H Mag. is appreciable, but not nasty. Crisp, solid; but controllable.
Mine is in storage currently. I hope to change it back to a wood stock. Not a fan of synthetics anyway.
Please, Carry on ! :D

I really really really want a 300H&H. I have two relatives that have a .300WSM and a 300RUM. Both nice rifles. But I want the H&H for no other reason than it is an H&H.

Either a pre64 or a No.1. I will own one.

I may have to give mine up....

I am in the middle of the Big "D" :(

Yes, this is gun related.... If I lose them I will be bummed.
But, they are replaceable.... to a degree.

Please, carry on. Great pics, Guys! :)
