The last master, documentary.

For when you have time to watch. Good documentary on Japanese sword making.
A quote from the master in the video.

"It doesn't matter what the job is; if you really take it seriously it won't be easy. Being a professional means that you recognize the difficulty of what you're doing."

A lot of people never come to understand this.

When we look at a topic or a process or a job, we see it as being contained in a box. When we open the box, we see that there is more inside the box than could possibly have fit in the box based on looking at it from the outside. And inside the box are more boxes that each has more inside than one would think just looking at the outside of it. The more you look, the more you find, the more you study, the more there is to study, the more you learn about doing something, the more there is to learn about the process. It's a simple progression, but it all comes to a halt as soon as you are sure you have seen all there is to see, think you have studied all there is to study, and believe you know everything about the process.
