The LCP

Made this video some time ago. This is the one I carry most. It's had close to a 1000 rounds through it. Most loads are mine using both lead & jacketed bullets. It's never failed to feed, fire, & eject.

They are so easy to carry in the front pocket , that mine has made me a lazy handgun carrier in that I almost carry it more than any other gun I have. I can be working on a car and need to go to the auto parts store and all I have to do is drop the LCP into my front pocket and off I go. no need for a hip holster . Just a DeSantis pocket holster to cover the trigger and stick it in my pocket.

I carry this one in my strong side rear pocket. I remove it after opening the truck door to sit & replace it once my feet hit the ground on exit. It's a very simple system for me.

My LCP Custom, the one with the aluminum trigger and the taller sights, is my right front pocket, anytime, every time, pistol. Even when I'm carrying something larger, the LCP is in my right front pocket. I like a long, stiff trigger on a pocket carry pistol.

I wore out the factory holster and am working on wearing out the Desantis holster I bought as a replacement. It's not fun to shoot but it is super easy to carry. Capacity and range are not my primary concerns while in the area I normally traverse.

I have a LCP 380 it is carried holstered in gym shorts pocket along with a Glock 26 in Smartcarry when I go to the gym; once at the gym the holstered LCP goes in locked locker and the Glock 26 in Smartcarry stays on me while I exercise. The LCP 380 in pocket offers quicker access to/from the gym.

Other than that, most of the time I'm typically wearing cargo shorts with a Sig 365 in pocket and a Glock AIWB.

I've got Hydra-Shok Deep in the LCP.

On my second and still say that after the baby Browning the hardest pistol to shoot I've owned. I've owned a lot and am a pretty good shot with handgun, rifle and shotgun.
An aftermarket 10 round mag helps but negates the pocket carry which is where this thing excels.
My Kimber Micro, however, is the easiest pocket gun to shoot, for me at least.
Not giving mine up, it is just #2

You got a good one! Mine was basically a piece of junk. Wouldn't trust it any further than it could be thrown, and I have a terrible throwing arm.

The pocket .380 I settled on is the much maligned and now discontinued Beretta Pico.

I got my Gen 1 LCP at a gun show, used for $125 OTD. It was a jamomatic, one FTF each magazine. I gave it two deep cleanings one week apart, cleaned and lubed the magazines, replaced the springs. It has run over 1K rounds with zero problems. I carry it in the summer months in a belly band, super comfortable with no printing.

I must compliment your video, quick and to the point.

Most YouTuber’s just want to hear themselves talk and they continually repeat themselves and talk about things that don’t pertain.

Thank you for respecting our time!

Both my LCP and Keltec 3AT have been great performers as well.

Your words are kind. Thank you.

I like and carry my LCP so much I bought an LCP Max. I also have a G26 and a Kahr CM9 but the LCP seems to be the one I grab. Right front pocket in a holster.

I bought a Max as well, thinking it would replace my LCP. However, the LCP fills the niche of being sooo light that it lives in my gym shorts. The Max is just too heavy for me for it to be able to fill that niche.

Yes, there is a significant difference in the weight of the two models, especially if you’re wearing light sport shorts.

I bought my LCP ages ago when they first came out and carried it as a backup and EDC gun when not working.

I tried an LCP II about a year after they came out. One dry fire session at the gun store counter was all it took for me to switch to the II.

I did paint the front sight on both guns white, then blaze orange, to help with a sight picture. Other than that, they were both all-stock and neither has jammed to date with fmj practice stuff or Win PDX .380 hollow point ammo.

Stay safe.

Here is my original LCP. I don't remember when I bought it...years ago. I shoot it regularly to stay in tune with it. It has been reliable and accurate. Honestly have never had a malfunction except for bad ammo.View attachment 1145028
It's good to stay in practice....I had been shooting a single action revolver and then switch to my lcp. I got bit!View attachment 1145029
Ouch! Right at the thumb-joint, too. There isn’t much thumb-room on the back of the LCP, that one looks like it hurt..:(

I remember the first time I shot a semi auto as a kid, it was a Colt Huntsman my Dad bought new back in the days of the Woodsman/Huntsman pistols. He was showing me how to shoot it and I vividly remember him crossing a thumb over the shooting hand and getting a nasty pair of slide cuts. Needless to say I learned from his experience and have been lucky enough to have dodged that one (so far!)

I hope it heals up fast.

Stay safe.

I have to admit that my LCP gets carried more often than any other pistol.

Despite those who argue that the .380 cartridge is an inferior round to be used in self-defense (and it is, when compared to even the 9mm), my bet is that an awful lot of them tote an LCP or its kin when "just going down to the neighborhood store".

The LCP shines if you realize that you're not a cop, hunter, hero, soldier, sniper....etc. It shines because it is reliable, accurate, and small enough to have on you all the time.
