Hiya Guy's ,
Me and my Girlfriend got busy & tore the computer room / man cave apart, did some early spring cleaning and a lot of rearranging to make room to get my new to me reloading bench setup and situated that I just picked up over the Black Friday / Cyber Monday weekend for $250 . We moved the gun cabinet angled in the corner by the window away from the direct sunlight on the same wall that my Craftsman tool chest is on. She got a little carried away and went over the gun cabinet inside and out with a lot of orange pledge and a little Windex on the glass and it actually turned out pretty damn nice when she was done .
I pulled the halogen torch lamp out of the corner on the opposite side of the window from the gun cabinet, then I moved my computer desk over into the corner and got the reloading bench setup next to it and I put the torch lamp right in between the two for some extra light. I forgot that I hadn't pulled the twisty fluorescent light bulbs out of the computer room yet to replacorderedwith LED bulbs, so I decided to get that squared away right quick while I was thinking about it and that made a big difference as well.
The reloading bench is 20" deep x 48" long and it's built like a tank so it will definitely take some abuse. Now that I've had time to unload all the boxes, go through everything and get it all situated there's quite a bit of stuff here to say the least. Here's a quick rundown of most of the stuff that came with this setup :
Uniflow powder thrower
Lyman 450 Luber sizer
Pacific press
Forster products shell trimmer
A hammer for pulling bullets.
And a Frankford Arsenal quick-n-ez shell tumbler
It came with reloading dies for 7.65 Mauser, 6.5 jap & 41 magnum. It looks like there are several other sets of reloading dies here that aren't marked that I'm going to have to figure out what they are. There is also a crucible pan for smelting the lead with a Dipper , skimmer & about 300 lb of lead ingots and sheet lead w/ 7 or 8 bullet molds.
The reloading components it came with look a little something like this :
500 Rimrock 38/357 158 grn swc bullets
500 .45 acp swc bullets
Speer & Sierra .277, .284, 30 cal .308 & .311 bullets
500 or so .311 cast round nose lead bullets
Muzzleloading balls in .440 & .50 cal.
20 some boxes of primers both big and small
Ten 1lb. Full and partial cans of powder in various flavors
Full and partially loaded boxes of shells in :
25 acp
32 Long Colt
32 S&W
380 acp
9mm luger
30-30
303 British
30-06'
7mm
8mm
257 Roberts
Norma 6.5 Jap
7.62x39
It also came with a den full of miscellaneous loaded and unloaded brass and everything from 22-250 to 444 Marlin from the looks of it, and I found 4 as of yet unknown rifle magazines and two 10/22 magazines which is a nice little bonus for my 10/22.
All in all I'd say I got a pretty good deal for $250 . I already got online and ordered a 6" digital micrometer, a digital powder scale, a Lee balance beam style powder scale and a hornady powder trickler to round things out. I just have a couple more T's to cross, I's to dot & I'll be about ready to get things started
..
BTW, I found these 5 reloading books from a guy here on Craigslist for $10 apiece so I scooped all of them up before someone else got their mitts on them.
Pacific rifle pistol cartridge reloading manual. 5th printing revised Edition 1971
Ideal handbook reloading ammunition #38 published by Lyman 1951
Speer reloading manual #11 1987
Hornady Handbook of cartridge reloading 3rd printing 1980
Lyman reloading handbook for rifle pistol and muzzle loading 45th Edition 1970
