The Rally Point will be sponsoring another shoot on Saturday, June 10th at DelMarVa range near Cambridge, MD.

Official thread is located here

The thread has been updated to reflet the course of fire for the rifle competition as well as the schedule.

Hope to see some new folks this time around, we've had 30-40 for the first two shoots.

I'm definately interested. I may just be coming to watch though. I haven't had a chance to properly zero the rifle I would bring.

I assume one requires a rifle to participate in a rifle competition :( Or maybe some skill with said rifle.

Guys,

Just to clarify....

The competition is just one segement of the shoot. The whole day does not revolve around it.

Otherwise, it's an opportunity for new shooters to get instruction, for experienced shooters to try out other guns, and generally a chance to hang out with other shooters.

We'll have instructors on hand for new shooters. If you have been hankering for a new gun and don't know how you'll like it.....here's your chance. Just ask, and I bet you'll get to run a mag through any gun on the firing line.

Don't worry about your gear....The Rally Point shoots are meant to develop the SKILL of shooting rather than talking about it and buying gear.

The shoot has recieved some corporate sponsorship from:

BIG BRAD's GUNSHOP of Parsonsburg, MD
Continental Arms of Timonium, MD

Thanks to these fine FFL's for their help in producing this event!

Outstanding. I'll be there to hit 100 yard targets with my Taurus 357 snubbie again.

(the only truth in the above statement is that I WILL be there. Oh and I'll have the fun snubbie too.)

Thanks To Big Brad and Continental for stepping up to help out. I know others are interested in sponsoring future events, but I couldn't get out to them in time.

You know I saw someone hit a 100 yard target with a round of .32 from a Nagant revolver once. Wisely he then put the gun away and moved along <grin>.

Oh I'm sure it's possible for somebody with skill and patience; two traits that I'm lacking in. :)

Looks like we're around 25-30 people so far.

Please PM me and let me know if you're coming so i can arrange for food with the range people.

Bump while THR is up.

Weather is looking great, turnout is looking great and the scheduled competition is looking great.

Hope to see more fellow THR'ers there.

I'm sensing the need for a Friday or Saturday night THR gathering at Duclaw again. :)

Who's playing down there?

Well, we are (Seldom Scene), for starters. Also "Mountain Heart," "Lonesome River Band," JD Crowe, and a bunch of other great groups. The festival is at the Kentucky Horse Park. You wouldn't believe some of the horse farms out here

Beautiful horses, too.

God I love this job :D

Sounds like you all had a great time again today. I really hope one of these days I'll be able to make it to one.

Didnt know you played. Got any links to local events? I love bluegrass, especially live. Shoot me a PM.

Anytime somebody brings a full auto Ma Deuce out to play, you know people will be grinning from ear to ear for days.:)
