It was loud and raised a cloud of dust. He's being a poser here. The shooter and observer of the rifle were assigned to protect him on his mountaintop comms site.

3 quick questions on the 7th photo in the first post (093.jpg):

1. What kind of rifle?

2. Is the recoil so low it does not bop the shooter on the nose?

3. How could the guy in the upper left have a beard? Relaxed grooming standards? He is a foreign exchange solider?

The rifle is the G3A4 (or a copy of it) I believe. Don't look like US soldiers to me. If they are, it's waaaay old (choc chip camo) and I don't have a clue why they'd have that wany G3s. Might have one or two for familiarisation, along with some FALs and AKs but they look like standard issue. I think the soldiers are Turkish.
