Take a look at the Savage website. They have at least 6 models in .260 rem. Remington not so much. CZ has one or two. I love my .260 but I would not use it as a Pdog rifle. As far as burning the barrels out, you would have to shoot thousands of 58gr Vmaxs out of a 243 to burn it out dependant on the rifle. You will get maybe 1 or 2 thousand more in the .260 but the cost of the ammo, even reloading makes it a wash if you have to rebarrel.

Hhuuumm... Maybe get two rifles, a 6.5 and another dog town rifle! I could even use the same scope on both rifles, if course after sighting in. I like how you think!
