For home defense and as a snake gun. Would like to hear from some of the good folks that have one.

What do they weight? Can't find that anywhere.

How's the recoil? Looks like it would be pretty good.

Did you buy the holser?

Thanks as always

Don't know the answers, but I do know not to shoot shot at a solid target less than 15 yards in front of you without very good eye protection. Heard this then tried it, TWICE, with a 410 deringer.
Feels like you're getting atacked by bees.

Recoil is not that bad with .410 loads as it is really heavy, but I was not impressed with my one experience at a local range. To say that it is unbalanced is a considerable understatement.

They may be inaccurate, but they sure are shoddily built!

Honestly (and this is coming from someone who really likes all kinds of oddball guns), you couldn't give me a Thunder Five. :uhoh:

Thinking about a Thunder Five? Think Again!

I saw one. It looks, feels, and is, a POS. If you're looking for a good home defense gun, get a quality Wheelgun. You can shoot loads for defending yourself against 4, 2, and 0 legged critters.

If a 410 repeater consider a

American derringer in 45/410. Get the alaskan model with the 8" barrel and oversized grips. This will give you in effect a 410 double shotgun. And its of about the same size as the thunder 5. the quality however if far and away superiur.
Just a thought.
