I have a SS Colt King Cobra 2.5" that I want to get rid of, so I can get some money to customize a couple of 1911's. It is in great condition, I just like my 1911's more. How much should I ask for it on consignment?

Post it here as FTF preferred. If you have to ship it, it will cost you (or the buyer) a HELL of a lot less than consignment will...
As far as fair price, do your homework.
You will get taken on consignment.

Now some may hate me but the snub KC is somewhat of a premium gun hence the high prices you see for them. Go over to the Colt forum and ask the guys there.

Steely,
Magic knows his Colts and is correct.
The snubbie King Cobra is a tough one to find.
You will rarely see them at any show no matter how large a show.
I've seen one in years of going to shows and I own it.
Is yours brushed or bright stainless ?
95% are brushed finished.
They go between $800-$1000 for nice minty ones.
The lower end is for clean, looks like new with no box, and the higher end would be for unfired with box and papers.
Good luck. Here's a pic of a few of mine.
