BAD NEWS -- and SOMETHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT

THE BAD NEWS

Monday, April 14, 2003

The Bush administration announced its SUPPORT for keeping the 1994
Clinton-Feinstein-Schumer ban on scores of semi-automatic rifles and ban
on gun magazines holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition.

The law automatically expires in September, 2004. But on Saturday
the 12th, the Knight Ridder News agency reported that White House
spokesman Scott McClellan stated, "The president supports the current
law, and he supports reauthorization of the current law,"

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Take a few seconds and RESPOND to the following poll and we'll get it
to as many people in the Bush administration and the Republican "leadership"
as we can:

Click here, then look for the VOTE! poll in the left hand margin.

....or not.

A poll by K&BA will easily be one sided. I also noticed on the results that the vast majority voted to abandon him....so everyone voting for the Democrat? George will have the Republican nomination in the next election and there is nothing you can do about it.

Point? Poll is worthless.

Not democratic, libertarian, which'll result in a Democrat winning.

If it gets to his desk, it'll be because the entire Republican party folded on the issue, as noted in several places around the net. If this is a serious threat, rather than simple political posturing, then there really isn't any reason to vote for the "lesser of two evils".

If they actually do pass it, then lets bring on the Democrats. Perhaps the sheeple can be aroused, reclaiming the whole mess. But, if not, I'll have been born during one of the more civil periods of time, the 50's, and I'll live long enough to see the end of my nation as a republic.
