I was shocked to see this written on a website information site...... they did give this site GREAT reviews!

Just thought I'd post this as FYI

Fairly Wealthy

Fairly Wealthy??? Damn....I just blew THAT curve!! But to me wealth is measured in different ways. As this forum opened my eyes (to other states)....I'm wealthy because I live in a state that is still "red" enough.

Michigan-- I'm sorry for you guys!!
California-- What the heck is going on out there??
NY and NYC-- I don't know how you deal!!

And on, and on, and on......

You guys are welcome to come shoot with me ANY time.

I'm definately not wealthy, and I've never even heard of hobbytron

I bet this was a scheme of hobbytron.com, in order to get all of us to go find out what they are about...lol

Wealthy is subjective, I'm less wealthy than most of the people I work with and more wealthy than most of my friends...

Now that could be an interesting poll if it hasn't happened already - "what is your average personal income?".

You're right. Wealthy is subjective. I have to pick and choose between bills, but I'm wealthier than some of my friends. I'm pretty low on the totum pole though. As far as the payscale goes, I'm somewhere above retreiving shopping carts, and somewhere below assistant managing a Blockbuster.

I'm not sure what the definition of "fairly wealthy" is but it's possible I fit that one, but I've never even heard of hobbytron

I think when they use the term "wealthy" they're figuring from the Nat'l average household income, which is abysmal. Plenty of us here make double and triple that figure, but that's still "just makin it" money to most folks in the real world.

I've never even heard of Hobbytron. :p

Congratulations.

A large and diverse community is just one of the rewards you will see when you take The High Road.

P.S. *** is a hobbytron?

I guess my wife and I are in the wrong place? :neener:

Guess I have to leave now.

I suppose that if you consider disposable income for a hobby and the hobby typically costing hundreds of dollars per item you'd draw the conclusion that members are well off financially.

I'm 20, work retail, never been to hobbytron and do not have anything NRA-related in my house other than a thank you email in my inbox.

I think that puts me on the left-side of the curve on all definitions

I think what "fairly wealthy" means to most people in this country is actually "has at least half a brain and spends/saves in a manner fitting ones income". I think thr members fit that category.
