Is the 12 enough gun for dragon flies?

Well, usually.

There are lots of variables.

Can they be brought down with a 28 ga?

Sure they can, but why chance it?

Let's not hijack this fine thread. It started out about dove hunting with specific shotguns. I'll start a new one about Dragonflys and the appropriate gage.

Friend had an Argentina dove gun built - Perazzi MX 20/8 - 7.5 pounds, fixed tight chokes - for walking a little and shooting a lot......30 inch tubes (or whatever Perazzi gets close to that with)........got a chance to try it out.....very nice, handles very well, and the tight chokes work for that environment.............
