Hello All,

I have always wondered about the Thommy Gun pistols. They look like a fun little range toy, and I have a chance to get one from a friend for cheap. I have one of the Auto Ordnance semiautomatic PCC Thompsons, and I love it. Especially with the Howell spring system. The stock springs were way too heavy, and frankly, sucked to cock. Does anyone here have one/has used one? It would come with a one hundred round drum magazine/third hand tool, which is already stupid expensive online. The basically free drum mag alone makes me want this deal, since I can use it in my regular Thommy. Thoughts?

Many people own different variants of the semi-autos Thompson long guns. Not many people own the pistols. If you can get it for the essentially the cost of the C-drum, then it sounds like a great deal.

I would love to run across one I could afford without trying to justify. Around here they ain’t cheap. That’s a really interesting chunk of steel though and would be a whole lot of fun, especially in a roaring 20s match, but those haven’t really caught on much either, at least around here. A 1911 or K frame S&W as a handgun, Remington model 11 as shotgun, and Thompson or BAR as rifle would make for a really fun 3gun match, especially when decked out in pinstriped suits, and driving model A fords. Just makes me want to say “Oh George, not the livestock”.
