Maybe one or two of my neighbors in my building know, at least that im aware of, know. People aren't usually out when we load the truck up, but a few have seen us with cases and stuff. I still try to be as discrete as I can, no use advertising it.

I just don't like the looks of some of the tenants in the building across the way, a little too drug oriented for me. But I feel relatively safe, I keep my doors locked, and non-defensive weapons are always locked up.

Every time I read one of these threads all I can think is either most people on this message board are really fearful and paranoid, or most of them live in REALLY lousy neighborhoods.

A couple of my neighbors know I am a gun owner and avid shooter and I don't have a problem with that; its who I am.

I live in a 4th floor apartment, so I have to carry my stuff through a common area to the garage, so I occasionally pass other people on the way to/from their cars. I have several identical gun cases and I make it a point never to carry more than long gun at a time, even if it means making several trips...there is no sense in advertising how many guns I have.

The two college girls next door seem to have decided I am their SHTF plan...during a recent storm and extended power outage, they showed up at my door because they felt scared in their apartment with the phones and alarm system out. :(This is a really sad thing:( Apparently I have gotten old enough that hot college chicks think of me as a father figure:banghead:

My neighbors all have guns, even the anti's! I have seen most of them at the range and they have seen me. Kinda hard to keep it a secret when there are only two ranges and both are private.

My neighbors know I am a weekend musician and are used to seeing me load music cases, amps, etc all the time. This is why I carry my firearms/ammo inside the same anvil flight cases I use to transport my (smaller) keyboards.

My neighbors know but most of them have better collections than I do. What bothered me recently though is that my father keeps telling extended family and friends about my guns. He's a bit surprised I got into them, but we had to have a talk about how most people don't need to know.

how many of your neighbors know, whether you told them or not, know you have guns? because someone is bound to have seen you loading/unloading your guns/ammo/targets into and out of your vehicle.

My neighbors don't know that I own guns. My "range" bag is not a range bag, my gun cases go inside of other cases that are not gun cases.

It's no big deal really, my neighbors don't know about other small valuable objects I may or may not own either.

All of my neighbors know, and they all have guns, too; everyone has guns out here.

I presume that that's why people from cities don't often travel out into the sticks to burglarize houses: they'd rather not get dog-bit, shot, fall down an old well that's known and avoided by locals, trip over a farm implement in the dark and impale themselves on scrap iron that's kept as repair stock...it's too dangerous.

I like living out in the country. :)
