Been looking at some offerings from Russia and wondering if any of you guys have tried the products made by Kizlyar Supreme, A&R Zlatoust, ZZOSS ZLATOUST. Thanks for any input you have.

That is what I have been reading, may just have to pick one up. They have quite a few offerings now.

I have been wondering this too, specifically regarding Kizlyar Supreme. Knifeworks.com has had many of them on closeout for a while, some with very attractive prices. Did a bunch of searching a while back, and could find no real reviews of them anywhere. However, I seem to remember that there are two companies - Kizlyar, and Kizlyar Supreme, and that they were two distinctly different companies.
Hso, would you have any more info on that?

Yes, diffetent companies. There are arguments about where they are made, Russian or outsourced offshore with some work done in Saint Petersburg (kinda like Boker does).

I trust the folks at CAS Iberia a lot to be honest about their products since I know them, but Europeans have different rules for "made in..." than we do so all parts may be offshore and final assembly take place in country and still legally be marketed as Russian/German/etc.

I picked up a couple, they are nice. Below we have a AIR Zlatoust Knife Scout and a Kizlyar DV-1.

Some of the Russian companies are really starting to up their game. Custom Knife Factory in particular.

There's been an absolute explosion in high-quality Chinese knife makers recently, as well, in the range from $100-$500.

Any guidance on where to purchase that very nice Zlatoust Scout please? I can only find it online with a plastic "paratroops" colors handle. It's quite nice in birch.
