Penman: Let me join my very dear friend and THR
brother the silent one in wishing you a very Happy
Birthday. Here in the South, there is a drink that is known
as Buffalo Rock; again as the silent one can truly
attest to. It's a caffeine free Ginger Ale, that was first
introduced during the Civil War. We will toast your
birthday with this fine soda.

Anna from Bulgaria: Don't leave so soon! A big
ole' hearty welcome to The High Road. As you can see,
there is lots of very nice persons on board here. And
for some strange reason, we guy's like having you
girl's join the fun! Lots of excellent female shooter's
can be found on this forum; so come on in, pull up a
chair and join in the fun. Glad to have you as a rising
star in our membership!

Lennyjoe & Blues Bear: Many thanks for the
kind words; as I strive to do my part in making this
website the finest available; and I've enjoyed the
contribution that both of you guy's have made.

To All Other's: So sorry, if I forgot to single
you ladies and gentleman out individually; but
your contributions haven't gone unnoticed. Many
thanks for the help that each of you have made
to the excellence of this website.

Respectfully,
Ala Dan, N.R.A. Life Member

Friends

Excellent! Warms my crusty old heart to see all this. I've made a few friends here myself. Met a few and lookin' forward to more face-to-face
handshakes. By the way, I type southern drawl and speak fluent Reb-bonics...aka Bubbaspeak, in case I get on the phone with anybody.
The'll be thinkin' that they're talkin' to a cross between cousin Jethro,
The Cable Man and Jeff (You Might be a Redneck) Foxworthy.

Ya'll come on over/up/down and set a spell. Turbocoffee's on the house!

Cheers!

Buffalo Rock-----------"ROCKS":D $19.50 for 24 12oz cans, shipped from Alabama to my door. Best Ginger Ale I ever had. :p Wonder what the stuff tastes like mixed with a little shine.:uhoh:

I was in the Amish country in PA, they understood me...nodding and pointing does mean they understood - right? I believe the Amish fella knew meaning of "tumped" - he grunted, his wife wrung her hands...that is good - right? Really neat folks the Amish.

Heh, I was born and raised in Lancaster, PA. Still living there. Every other year I tend to be send somewhere down south. Loved being near Savannah, GA for a couple months, the riverfront was great.

Not Amish, but I've seen Amish folks shoot. They love their rifles!

For some odd reason, they always tend to think I'm a baseball player. Everywhere I went, people tended to call me a "darn Yank". :neener:

Thank you for the toast, Ala Dan!!!

That ginger ale sounds delicious, one of these days I'll get together with you and join you in person. Independence day was a busy time, we started with a benefit breakfast for a volunteer fire department, came home and changed and went to a wedding, then changed again to go to a dinner gathering. Whew!

Hope everyone had a great weekend, looking forward to meeting all of you in person someday.
